Privacy Policy

Last updated October 4, 2026

This policy covers this website, its forum, and the feedback form inside the Gods to Dust demo. Gods to Dust is made by Tamer Designs (“we”, “us”). We collect very little, and everything we collect is listed here.

What we collect

  • Your email address, if you join the list. We use it to send a confirmation and to tell you when the Steam page opens. That’s all it’s for.
  • What you send through the support form: your name if you give one, your email address, the topic and your message. It reaches us as an email so we can reply.
  • Your forum account, if you sign in with Steam. Steam tells us your Steam ID, and we copy your public Steam name and avatar each time you sign in. We store those, the Path you choose, and what you post, reply and vote on. We never see your Steam password or email address.
  • Everything you post on the forum is public: your threads, replies and screenshots, with your Steam name and avatar beside them, and a profile page listing your posts and forum rank. Copies of new threads and of reports you send are emailed to us so we see them quickly.
  • Screenshots you attach. They’re shrunk and re-encoded before they’re stored, which strips the hidden data image files carry, including a photo’s location.
  • An email address, only if you add one for forum notifications. It’s never shown to anyone. We use it to confirm it’s yours and to tell you about threads you follow, and each email has a link to stop them.
  • Whether you own the game or its demo, which we ask Steam when you sign in so we can show an Owner or Demo badge.
  • Feedback reports from the game. When you use the Feedback button in the demo, the report carries your message, its category and the game version; where you were in the game and what was happening (your character’s save slot and level, health, weapon, any boss you were fighting, the menus open, the input device and the frame rate); your computer’s operating system, processor, memory, graphics card and display settings; and, unless you switch them off in the form, a screenshot of the game’s own window at the moment you pressed the button and a record of the game’s log, with your account name removed from any file paths in it. Each report has a short report number, and your copy of the game makes one random tag, not taken from your computer, so we can tell which reports came from the same player. A report includes an email address only if you enter one.
  • Connection details. As with any website, our host receives your IP address and browser details when you visit and keeps standard server logs. We also hold your IP address only while handling a request. To limit spam across our servers, we store keyed hashes of IP addresses, and of email addresses or account IDs where needed, with short-lived counters in our database. These counters expire within 24 hours and are removed on subsequent requests. We don’t store raw IP addresses in that database.

Cookies and scripts

We use Google Tag Manager to load and manage website tags. With JavaScript enabled, it loads when you first interact with the page or after five seconds, whichever comes first. If JavaScript is disabled, a Google Tag Manager fallback frame loads with the page. These requests connect your browser to Google. The tags configured in the container determine any additional data collection or cookies.

The fonts are served from this site. The forum sign-in cookie is set only if you sign in and expires after 30 days. We don’t sell or rent your information.

Who handles it for us

These services process data on our behalf, and only to run the site:

  • Vercel hosts the website.
  • Google serves the Google Tag Manager container and its fallback frame.
  • Resend sends our email, delivers support messages and feedback reports to us, and holds the mailing list.
  • Supabase hosts our database and stores forum screenshots: the forum, and our own copy of the mailing list.
  • Steam, run by Valve, handles forum sign-in. Signing in happens on Steam’s own site.

They may process data outside your country, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep your address on the active mailing list until you leave it or ask us to remove it. Resend keeps your unsubscribe preference so we don’t add you back by mistake. We keep your forum account, and any notification email on it, until you remove the email or delete the account. We keep support messages and feedback reports only as long as they’re useful for answering you or fixing the game.

Your choices and rights

To leave the list, use the unsubscribe link in an email from us. To see, correct or delete anything we hold about you, reply to any email from us, choose “Privacy request” on the support page, or write to dev@godstodustgame.com. We’ll remove you from every place listed above.

You can delete your forum account yourself from your account page. That removes your profile and votes, and you choose whether your posts are deleted too or stay up as from a deleted player.

If you’re in the EU or UK, we rely on your consent for the mailing list, and on our legitimate interest in running the forum, answering you and fixing the game for everything else. You can withdraw consent at any time, and you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Wherever you live, we’ll honour the requests above.

Children

This site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed up, tell us and we’ll delete it.

Changes

If what we collect changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
